The four-year apprenticeship program at Sims Crane & Equipment is ideal for individuals seeking lucrative careers in the crane and rigging industry. Our program trains and prepares apprentices for crane operator, rigging and transportation truck driver positions. The program curriculum focuses on safety the first year, rigging and signaling the second year, cranes and set-up the third year, and mental and judgement skills the final year. Apprentices are always paid competitive hourly wages and receive full benefits while in the training program. Often times, apprentices are offered full-time positions upon successful completion of the program and achieving their NCCCO certification.
